Rob Zeller received a BFA from the Boston Museum School and Tufts University, an MFA from the New York Academy of Art, and studied with Jacob Collins at the Water Street Atelier.
He is the recipient of two Posey Fellowships and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. In January 2009, he founded the Teaching Studios of Art, with locations in Brooklyn and Oyster Bay, Long Island. Zeller has exhibited in Los Angeles, Houston, and Paris. In addition, he has had two solo shows in NYC, at 511 Gallery and Dacia.
He has studied the figure extensively and his work explores narratives related to the human form. He has been quoted or written about in several national publications regarding Teaching Studios, such as American Artist and Studio magazines. In 2014, he was the subject of a feature profile in Professional Artist Magazine. He is presently working on a book about the Figure for Monacelli Press, due out in Fall 2016.
