This class will explore the basic principles involved in traditional realistic drawing. Students will start with simple subjects and then progress to more challenging subjects. Vadnais' basic approach to drawing is a time honored method that has the advantage of being effective for almost any subject a student finds interesting, whether it be portraiture, the figure, still life, landscape, or these elements in combination. If students prefer to work in oils, Vadnais will help work out a strategy to facilitate the simillar concepts in oil paint.
This method involves three main stages that students will experience as they learn to create a finished composition.
