Drawing and painting - Old master copy

This class continues the time-honored tradition of learning from the Old Masters by copying their great works. If you have hit the ceiling of your capabilities as an artist, or are simply looking to jumpstart your technical training, this could be exactly what you are looking for.

Students will bring in a high-quality reproduction of a work of art they would like to copy. The instructor will help them formulate a strategy to do so in a working method consistent with the Old Master being copied. Students may also copy drawings. Good-quality reproductions are essential for this exercise.ks.

Classical Drawing and Painting Program

Our Classical Drawing and Painting Program is meant for artists of all levels of development and experience. The main focus is to teach the foundations of traditional drawing and painting. While these methods are often completely ignored in most art programs, we view them as having vital importance. It is highly recommended to take a few DP classes to shore up your drawing and painting skills before attempting the more advanced classes.
