This unique workshop, taught by Adam Miller, is designed to help artists of any level of skill and experience draw and paint the portrait in the grand manner of Thomas Gainsborough, Sir Joshua Reynolds and Anthony Van Dyck.
The Baroque Portrait consists of 3 days of working from the live model with Adam Miller. The goal is to learn to take advantage of a layered approach to painting. Miller will discuss the ways a colored under-painting affects the final painting, and also help provide a focus on using limited colors towards building an artistic harmony of warms, cools and grays

Class size limited to 12 students, to ensure a high quality experience.
Adam Miller studied at the Florence Academy of Art, Michal John Angel Studios, Art Students League with Nelson Shanks, Michael Grimaldi and Greg Kreutz and The Grand Central Academy of Art. He has been an assistant to Odd Nerdrum and Jeff Koons. He currently shows work with Gallery Molinar, Pan Gallerie, Gitana Rosa Gallery and Slag Gallery. |
