The Contemporary Portrait with David Kassan

The main focus of this workshop will be based around developing a drawing study for painting purposes, as well as developing a skin tone color sense based on an open palette and emotional responses to broken color.

The Living Portrait (in graphite): by Maria Kreyn

This workshop will focus on creating both the likeness of the model and also emotional expression, bringing the portrait to life using the special beauty and simplicity of the graphite medium. Kreyn will offer both critiques and an in-class demonstration.
