In this class, Portrait Painting with a Cool-Warm Palette students will first execute an underpainting using a cool-warm palette. This palette consists of only 3 colors: an earth red, black and white. Students will then add additional color in subsequent layers of transparent and opaque glazes.
Students may use pencil or charcoal for the drawing stage, or go in directly in with paint.
Zeller will demonstrate by painting from the model, every class, in order to teach students specific techniques. In addition, he will go from easel to easel, teaching each student individually.
