Robert R. Mehling is a Long Island based artist who specializes in the Still Life genre. He has a unique gift at imparting the virtues of slow, careful observation that Still Life affords the artist. He earned a BFA in Fine Art fromLong Island University, Southampton College, and an MFA from Long Island University, C. W. Post College, Brookville.

He has won numerous awards for his work. He has taught painting at several places on Long Island, including the Hampton Bays Schools, the East End Arts Council, and the Long Island Academy of Fine Art in Riverhead.
