Ages 13 and up 

Portfolio Prep, Still Life for Teens, Adults offers a step-by-step approach to the fundamentals of drawing and painting in the classical tradition. Students are taught various techniques, methodologies and materials that are necessary to build a successful college portfolio in addition to the skills needed for their first studio year in college. For Adults, the class provides an opportunity to build a serious foundation of technique, and to develop their work to a more advanced level.

This program of study represents the very core concepts of what we do best at the Teaching Studios of Art. Students will learn a working method that will span the genres of Landscape, Still Life, Old Master Copy. A very informative and comprehensive class, it will allow for the creation of 2 pieces for a portfolio every session, and is of benefit to both teenage and Adult students.

We have run our program for high school students for 9 years in the North Shore area and many of our students have gone onto colleges of their top choice. Our instructors monitor every student’s progress to ensure portfolio requirements are being fulfilled.
