Clay art description:

  • It is a class for all ages, 11 and up.

  • You will learn how to use play dough (also known as plasticine) to create beautiful and intricate artwork.

  • With a few simple techniques, the whole process will be broken down into easy steps.

  • This class is a precursor to making stop motion animation with clay, known as CLAYMATION, including illustrations. This form can be used to create your own story books, covers for magazines, website designs and more!

MATERIAL LIST (to be purchased before joining the class begins)

1. Modeling clay (Play dough or plasticine) is a non-hardening, oil based clay. In colors: Red, blue, yellow, Green, brown, black, white, pink, orange)

Where to buy

2. A thick paper or board for the base of the artwork. This could be matt board, mount board or any inexpensive canvas panel similar to this one. Anything stiff enough to be your base on which you will create your artwork. Minimum 8 inch x 10 inch (get a couple of extra to practice)

3. Texture tools: toothpick, needle, nylon net(optional), ballpoint pen (optional empty refills)


4. 2-3 sheets of inkjet printer paper (regular A4 sheets), one pencil, one eraser
