Workshop limited to 6 students.

Watercolor, an ancient art medium dating as far back to cave paintings, continues to captivate artists with its simplicity, non-toxic nature, and ethereal effects. Discover the endless possibilities of watercolor in this immersive three-day workshop that highlights its versatility.

Throughout the workshop, students will delve into a diverse range of watercolor techniques, encompassing both traditional methods and more experimental approaches. The class begins with an introduction to the foundations of watercolor. Building upon this knowledge, students will then explore more unique and innovative watercolor methods. Various materials that add texture and depth to watercolor will be incorporated. In addition students will learn about different watercolor grounds and explore the advantages of working on canvas with watercolor. In the final two classes, students will have the opportunity to blend the learned techniques into a cohesive and original piece, combining elements of both experimental and traditional approaches.
